How I work

(i)

I draw rooms the way an architect draws a building: structure first, ornament last, and nothing that can't justify the space it takes.

(ii)

Every interior is worked out in light, proportion and the honest weight of oak, stone, plaster and steel, chosen to last rather than to be replaced.

(iii)

What's left is quiet and exact, a room to be lived in for decades.
